🏰 Rosenkrantz Tower – A Journey Through Bergen’s History

Standing proudly beside Bergen’s harbour, Rosenkrantz Tower is one of Norway’s most fascinating medieval landmarks. Parts of the tower date back to the 13th century, while it was transformed into the impressive fortress we see today in the 1560s.

Over the centuries, it has served as a royal residence, defensive fortress and symbol of power in Bergen.

Today, visitors can climb through narrow staircases, explore historic rooms and enjoy spectacular views over Bergen and Bryggen. For anyone interested in history, architecture or simply discovering the stories behind Norway’s former capital, Rosenkrantz Tower is well worth a visit.

Fantoft stave church is a Must-Visit when in Bergen.
You do not want to do an organised tour? No worries!
Take the light rail from the city centre and disembark at Fantoft stop.
Walk 5 to 10 minutes and you are there!
Or take an Uber!
