New episode of the Wild West Adventure Webcast is live. 🎙️🛶
I sat down with Anup Gurung, kayaker, river guide, humanitarian and now owner of Viking Rafting in Iceland.
Anup decided at 12 that rivers would be his life. At 16 he took one of the first kayak courses in Nepal, and he went on to found the Nepal Kayak Club. In 2018 he led Mission East to West, a five-month expedition across Nepal to document what dams and development are doing to the country's wild rivers. After the 2015 earthquakes he led a team carrying aid to the hardest-hit areas.
Today he splits his time between Nepal and Iceland, but the rivers of home are still on his mind.
