Minsa has made it a priority to vaccinate some of the island communities in Panama in part because they are remote with limited medical facilities, and to allow them to safely restart their tourism industries that many of their residents depend on for a living. As a result almost all eligible individuals on the Island of Tobaga and in the Pearl Islands archipeligo which includes Contadora, have now received 2 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. This brings these 2 areas well above the level of coverage needed for herd immunity and as a result Contadora no longer requires a Covid test for those arriving, provided they can prove they are fully vaccinated.
