It's also generally the more budget-friendly entry point into the region โ€” flights into Kalibo tend to run cheaper than flights into nearby Caticlan (Boracay) or Iloilo airports, since Kalibo's larger runway accommodates bigger jets and more competition among carriers, while Caticlan's smaller airstrip limits capacity and pushes fares up. AirAsia and other carriers fly Manilaโ€“Kalibo daily, but buses to Antique don't run 24/7 โ€” if your flight lands in the early evening, you'll likely miss the last bus and need to spend the night in Kalibo before continuing the next morning.
