Do Not Grow Weary in Doing Good
By the end of the month, it is easy to feel tired again. The initial motivation of a fresh start may have faded. Some days went well. Others felt heavy. You may wonder if your efforts mattered or if anything truly changed.
Scripture speaks directly to this moment. In Galatians 6:9, we are encouraged not to grow weary in doing good, because at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. This verse reminds us that faithfulness is not always immediately rewarded, but it is never ignored.
Doing good can become tiring when results are slow. You pray, but answers take time. You try to be patient, but growth feels uneven. You choose obedience, yet circumstances remain difficult. Weariness often comes not from doing the wrong thing, but from doing the right thing for a long time.
God understands that fatigue. That is why He reminds us to keep going. The harvest comes in God’s timing, not ours. Seeds grow quietly beneath the surface long before anything is visible. Faith works the same way. What you are doing in obedience today may not show fruit immediately, but it is taking root.
A reset does not end with January. It continues through steady faithfulness. The small choices you made this month matter more than you realize. Every prayer whispered, every act of trust, every step taken in faith is part of something God is growing.
If you feel tired today, do not quit. Rest when you need to, but do not lose heart. God is at work even when progress feels slow.
Stay faithful. Stay rooted. The harvest will come.
Reflection:
Where do you need encouragement to keep doing good without giving up?
Prayer:
Lord, strengthen me when I feel weary. Help me remain faithful and trust Your timing. Remind me that You see every step of obedience and that You are bringing fruit in the right season.
