Maaaring magsagawa ang National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) ng Manual Load Dropping (MLD) o "rotational brownout" sa mga sumusunod na lugar ngayong araw, Mayo 15, 2026 (Biyernes) 5:00 PM to 8:00PM (maaaring maextend), upang mapanatili ang katatagan ng sistema ng kuryente:
Bayan ng Subic kasama ang Baloy
Bayan ng Castillejos
Bayan ng San Marcelino
Bahagi ng Bayan ng San Narciso (Simminublan, Namatacan at Dalipawen)
Bahagi ng Bayan ng San Antonio (Burgos, Luna, Angeles, San Esteban, San Miguel, Pundakit, San Juan at Santiago)
_________

LUZON GRID ALERT STATUS
Update as of 15 May 2026, 11:45AM
RED ALERT EXTENDED
Red Alert
2:00PM-11:00PM
Yellow Alert
1:00PM-2:00PM
11:00PM-12:00AM
Available Capacity- 12,075MW
Peak Demand- 12,927MW
17 plants are on forced outage since May, 1 plant since April, 3 plants since March, 1 plant since February, 3 since January, 3 plants since 2025, 2 plants since 2024, and 1 plant out since 2019; while 14 plants are running on derated capacities, for a total of 4,828MW unavailable to the grid.
The extension of the Red and Yellow Alerts is due to the tripping of GNPD Unit 1, resulting in the loss of 668 MW and further aggravating the supply deficiency.
The Tayabas-Ilijan 500kV Line and the Dasmarinas-Ilijan 500kV Line were restored on 13 May 2026 at 2:44PM and 4:52PM, respectively. We are waiting for all the affected plants to resynchronize back to the grid.
A red alert status is issued when power supply is insufficient to meet consumer demand and the transmission gridโs regulating requirement.
A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission gridโs contingency requirement.
