A 91/100 score in the Falstaff Travel Guide doesn't happen by accident. At Mercure Palanga Vanagupe Resort, it starts with people like Rūta, Indra and Diana, three Heartists® who each turned their first hotel roles into lasting careers built on care, curiosity and commitment.
Rūta joined the hotel at 18 as a housekeeping hostess on a summer job, discovering that she liked the hotel life enough to stay. She moved to reception and later on her return from maternity leave to the Front Office. She was then promoted to Sales & Marketing manager. Indra entered hospitality as a Room Attendant, drawn by her appreciation for cleanliness, organisation and a welcoming environment. Her curiosity about what happens behind the scenes, combined with dedication, took her from Housekeeper Supervisor to Housekeeping manager, where she now leads a team of 18 and sees daily how their work shapes the guest experience.
Diana began at the Front Office reception, enjoying the chance to meet guests from all over the world and be part of a dynamic environment. When her manager encouraged her to apply for the Spa Manager role, and the General Manager supported the move, she took the opportunity and found a new path in the wellness industry, now leading a team of 15 and creating memorable spa experiences.
