Hungarian Summer Camp with shihan Robert Kern (KWF CR)

Last week, from July 29 to August 2, we held the traditional KWF Hungary summer camp. Nearly 60 fighters—both young and old—trained together, completing three to four sessions a day. Every club in our organization was represented. It was a special pleasure to have Sensei András Gróf (from Scotland) and Sensei Tibor Orbán (from IBK Hungary) join us in the training; both are former students and good friends of mine! The participants arrived extremely well-prepared, allowing us to devote more time to developing less-practiced areas alongside the core *Kihon-Kata-Kumite* disciplines. The event concluded with a rigorous belt grading examination. My sincere thanks to everyone for their outstanding performance and for the challenging yet engaging training sessions! I am incredibly proud of You all! ❤️ Osu!

International Kyokushin Summer Camp in Benasque 2026

The KWF Spain Summer Camp 2026 took place from 23–26 July in the beautiful mountain town of Benasque, Huesca (Spain).

A total of 250 karateka from dojos across Spain, France, the Netherlands, and Norway came together for four days of intensive training, friendship, and the true spirit of Kyokushin.

The camp was led by Shihan Antonio Piñero, President of KWF, together with several senior Shihan instructors, who delivered exceptional training sessions focused on developing the technical aspects of kihon, kata, and kumite.

The event also hosted Black Belt grading examinations from 1st Dan to 5th Dan, providing many karateka with the opportunity to achieve an important milestone in their martial arts journey.

The camp was a great success, with all participants leaving inspired, motivated, and equipped with new technical knowledge and fresh ideas to continue their development throughout the coming season.

A sincere thank you to all instructors, organizers, and participants for making this event such a memorable experience. See you again next year! Osu!

Ocean trip of shihan António Pereira (6th dan) Reunion Island & Mauritius

At the invitation of Shihan Pierre Grondin, KWF representative from Reunion Island, and Sensei Sandip Vencatakistnen, KWF representative from Mauritius, Shihan Antonio Pereira carried out a series of events to promote the KWF in the Southern Indian Ocean.
1. International Technical Training Camp – Reunion Island
During the stay on Reunion Island, an international technical training camp was held, bringing together approximately 160 Kyokushin practitioners.
The event was an important moment for learning, sharing knowledge, and strengthening the bonds of friendship between practitioners from various countries, highlighting the spirit of unity and respect that characterizes Kyokushin.
2. TOKYO CUP 2026
Considered the largest Kyokushin championship in the Indian Ocean, this 2026 edition brought together more than 250 athletes in Kumite and Kata, male and female. Juniors, Seniors, and Veterans.
For the first time, the presence of several foreign delegations; Portugal, Japan, Angola, Canada, Mauritius, and Reunion Island. Shihan António Pereira served as the Supreme Judge of the competition.
3. Technical Seminars in Mauritius
After the TOKIO CUP 2026, Shihan António Pereira traveled to Mauritius to lead a series of technical seminars dedicated to Kihon, Kata, and Kumite in various cities across the country.
The program concluded with a special training session held on the iconic Flic en Flac beach, providing a moment of high technical, cultural, and human value in an excellent setting.
3. Reception at the States House by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Mauritius.
Last Saturday, July 18, 2026, the executive members of KWF Mauritius, accompanied by Shihan António Pereira, head of the Portugal and Brazil branch of KWF Kyokushin South America, the athletes and delegation that participated in the last Tokyo Cup 2026 International Cup, were invited to meet with the President of Mauritius, Mr. Dharam Gokhool.
It was a great opportunity to introduce KWF Mauritius to our President and our future projects to strengthen Kyokushin in Mauritius.
It is worth highlighting the receptiveness of the President to study the possibility of making a pilot project viable.

53rd Eastern European Kyokushin Summer Camp

The annual 53rd Eastern European Kyokushin Summer Camp took place at the AWF Kraków facilities from July 16–19, 2026, with approximately 250 participants from Poland, including guests from Latvia, Israel, Moldova, Germany, Hungary, Ireland and Spain.

The head coach was KWF President Antonio Pinero 9th dan, and the special guest was Shihan Javier Lezcano 7th dan. The camp program was prepared by Shihan Andrzej Drewniak 9th dan.

Participants were accommodated in renovated double rooms with a bathroom and balcony in the AWF Summer Hotel at 82 Jana Pawła II Avenue.

The official opening of the camp and the photo-taking for the commemorative calendar featuring all participants took place on Thursday, July 17, at 4:00 PM in the renovated Sports Hall and at the athletics stadium. During the official opening, Shihan Andrzej Drewniak was honored by the Kurkowe Brotherhood with the Royal Medal for his outstanding achievements.

Training sessions took place several times a day, divided into groups. During the sessions, a detailed analysis of the KWF syllabus was conducted, focusing on kihon, kata, renraku, and the application of techniques in kumite. A meeting of center managers and instructors was also held as part of the camp.

Exams for the 5th kyu to 5th dan ranks were held on Saturday, July 18, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Nearly 60 dan candidates took the exam, of which nearly 20 percent failed.

The official closing of the camp was preceded by a nearly three-hour kumite exam, a photo session, the presentation of certificates, and a commemorative calendar, and took place on Sunday, July 19, at 12:00 PM.

The organizer of the 53rd international camp was the Secretariat of the Polish Kyokushinkai Organization.
