🌱 Rosetta Project EU at the XXV National Pepper Fair in Przytyk
As part of the Rosetta Project EU Demonstration Mission, products developed within the Polish pilot were presented during the XXV National Pepper Fair in Przytyk, one of Poland’s most recognised agri-food events. The event created an excellent opportunity to showcase how innovative approaches can help reduce food waste while creating nutritious and attractive food products.
Visitors were introduced to products prepared using upcycled bran-based flour developed within the ROSETTA pilot. By giving new value to underutilised cereal resources, these products not only contribute to food waste reduction but also offer an additional source of dietary fibre, supporting healthier and more sustainable food choices.
A key highlight of the presentation was the culinary demonstration led by Elżbieta Bień from Camelot-Catering, whose creativity, expertise and passion demonstrated the real potential of these innovative ingredients. Through her practical approach and inspiring recipes, she transformed pilot results into appealing food experiences that attracted visitors and sparked discussions about sustainability, nutrition and the future of circular food systems.
Thanks to her outstanding culinary skills, visitors could see first-hand that ingredients often perceived as secondary resources can become the foundation of delicious, high-quality products with real market potential.
By presenting ROSETTA pilot outcomes within a major public event, we engaged consumers, farmers, food producers and other stakeholders in a dialogue about food waste prevention, circular economy solutions and sustainable food innovation.
Together, we are proving that food innovation can create value from resources that might otherwise be overlooked, while delivering benefits for consumers, businesses and the environment. 🌍
