Meet Ana

Ceramicist and host at Vale de Moses, and the curator behind much of what you see on this page. Ana leads our ceramic sessions: a chance to reconnect with your hands and get aquainted with such an ancient material. Wonky bowls welcome.

During the Conscious Arts Retreats she will guide our group ceramics workshops as we explore handbuilding and painting vessels.

A week at Vale de Moses, seen through Sido's eyes.

Over the years, Sido has captured so much beauty here, always reminding us to experience the space through a guest’s POV. These are some of the frames she brought back from Lilianne's retreat last week.

So grateful for the kindness, the photos... and the stroopwafels that now feel like tradition.

April held something new for us.

Our first Conscious Arts Retreat. A few days of slowing down, working with our hands, and sharing space in a quieter, more intentional way.

One of the quiet revelations of the week was noticing how much we try to plan our rest, to structure what should feel spacious. And yet, the moments that really feed us tend to arrive unexpectedly: lingering a little longer in a late-night conversation, saying yes to an extra spoonful of whipped cream, stretching time just enough to let something real unfold.

It was a truly lovely group to host. Open and present with one another in a way that shaped the whole experience and the sense of community that emerged felt deeply nourishing.

The rose bush on the courtyard wall is putting out its first leaves. The same on that drapes itself in hundreds of blooms every spring and has been doing so for almost 100 years. Everywhere around us the valley is beginning its playful awakening.

We’ve also been quietly getting things ready. Spaces being thought out, details of the season taking shape, plenty of smelling-the-flowers breaks. It doesn’t feel like gearing up so much as falling into the rhythm that already reverberates through the valley.
