September brings crisp mountain mornings and the first touches of color, while October puts on the full show—with peak foliage typically arriving around the third and fourth weekends. We’re so excited to finally introduce The Croft Home, the newest addition to Chateau DuMont 🍂☕️🤎🏔️

Tucked away in Tynecastle—the original Iversheil community—this home gives you that peaceful, tucked-in-the-mountains feeling while still being just a short drive from Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Boone, Blowing Rock, the Alpine Coaster, and local wineries.

The home has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a jetted tub, and a game room with shuffleboard; giving you plenty of room to settle in, slow down, and enjoy mountain time together. Outside, the spacious stone patio overlooks Grandfather Mountain, and we can only imagine how beautiful that view will be once the leaves are filled with all that autumn magic.

Some of the very best days in the High Country are just ahead of us. Whether you’re dreaming of crisp fall mornings, afternoons spent exploring, or a winter weekend on the slopes, we would love to welcome you to The Croft Home. Fall and ski-season dates are now open for booking!
