🇺🇸🏕️ THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL LABOR DAY WEEKEND! 🏕️🇺🇸

As Labor Day weekend has come to a close, we just want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who chose to spend part of their holiday weekend with us at Lakehouse Resort & Event Center! ❤️

It was such a blessing to see our cabins and RV sites filled with guests and, even better, to see families and friends simply enjoying time together.

Some spent their days enjoying our lake, fishing, walking the property or relaxing around a campfire. 🎣🔥 Others headed out to enjoy Rend Lake and everything our beautiful Southern Illinois area has to offer. And some did exactly what a holiday weekend is meant for — slowed down, relaxed and enjoyed being together. 🌅

As we continue through our soft opening, weekends like this are especially meaningful to us. We’ve spent so much time watching this property under construction that seeing it being used for what we dreamed it could become — a place for people to gather, relax and make memories — is pretty special.

To everyone who stayed in a cabin, pulled an RV onto one of our sites, stopped by, told someone about us, or continues to follow our progress — thank you for being part of the beginning of the Lakehouse story.

There is still so much more to come, and we can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for this place. 🙏❤️

🪧⛺️ANOTHER STEP FORWARD AT THE LAKEHOUSE! 🔥🪧

Yesterday was another exciting day at Lakehouse Resort & Event Center — our new entrance sign is officially up and secured! ❤️

It may look like just a sign, but to us, it represents another piece of this dream becoming a reality. Every time something new goes into place, big or small, we’re reminded just how far this property has come…and how many people have helped us along the way.

A very special THANK YOU to all of our friends and family who had a hand in making this happen — from helping create the sign, building the frame, delivering it, preparing the marked location, getting everything into place, and finally securing it. We appreciate each and every one of you more than you know! 🙏

And this sign is just one example of something we probably don’t say often enough…

There has been SO much help behind the scenes throughout this entire journey that most people will never see. ❤️

There have been family members, friends, contractors and others who have given their time, shared their talents, brought equipment, picked up sticks, moved dirt, carried things, built things, offered advice, made phone calls, showed up when an extra set of hands was needed, and simply asked, “What can we do to help?”

Many of those moments will never make it into a Facebook post or a progress picture — but we see them, we remember them, and we appreciate every single one. No act of kindness or helping hand has been too small. Each person and each act of support has played a part in getting the Lakehouse to where it is today. 🙏❤️

This property has truly been a team effort, and we are incredibly thankful for the people God has placed around us throughout this journey.

There’s still plenty more to do, but yesterday we got to check another one off the list. ✅

The sign is up. The gates are open. And we’re just getting started! 🏕️🚐🏡🎣

This Labor Day weekend, we invite you to come experience Lakehouse Resort & Event Center and become part of our story from the very beginning!

We are still in our soft opening, and there is much more to come, but that’s part of what makes this such a special time to visit. Come see the progress that has already been made, enjoy the peaceful lake and beautiful Southern Illinois surroundings, and then come back in the years ahead to see just how far the Lord takes this property.

From the beginning, we have believed that this project is in His hands and on His timeline, and we are excited to see what He has in store for the Lakehouse in the years to come.

🚧 Local Roadway Update! 🚧

Good news for guests traveling to Lakehouse Resort & Event Center! A previously scheduled railroad and roadway improvement project on one of the routes used to access our property has reached an important milestone.

The unused railroad tracks have now been removed, eliminating the old crossing and helping create a smoother drive along this route. We’re excited to see this planned community infrastructure improvement completed and know our future guests will appreciate the easier ride when visiting the Lakehouse!

Thank you to the crews who have been out working to complete these improvements. 🚐🏕️

This past weekend, Ray and his son raised our beautiful new replacement flag, generously donated by Brooks Wortman.

There’s just something special about seeing the Stars and Stripes waving high above the lake and campground. ❤️🤍💙
