This photo brings me so much happiness. We've been having the BEST time with our kiddos vacationing in the Outer Banks for a long Labor Day weekend. We so enjoyed our time together and are sad that it's coming to an end tomorrow but we're so thankful for this time we've had!

We'll have some fun beach adventures to share soon! But now we're off to a wedding - the reason we're out here! ๐Ÿ’’๐Ÿ’

We walked down to the beach from our campsite and watched some surfers have some fun in the water. Some of them were pretty good and caught some good waves! ๐ŸŒŠ

We're in the Outer Banks for a family wedding and thought we'd grab a campground on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore before our official stay begins with the fam. (yes, our kids are meeting us here and we are SO excited for them to get here!)

Anyway, seemed like a great idea to be right on the beach right?

Weellll.....

We spent our time trying our best to stay cool. We thought we'd escape some of the heat by being right on the coast.

Wrong.

It's still hot and it's VERY humid. ๐Ÿคฃ I wasn't made for heat!! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿฅต

If we had time to just go play in the ocean we would have been able to stay cooler but alas we have to work so it was van + air conditioner (working hard to keep up!) = moderately comfortable people. And I use that moderately word loosely. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Such is van life. Still loving it, still feel lucky to live this life!! ๐Ÿฅฐ

We made it to the coast of North Carolina! We have a wedding to attend this weekend so we're here to enjoy a few days near the beach!

We stopped in at Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge to explore and check things out. We tried to do a walk along the Scuppernong River boardwalk but it was VERY humid and we were getting attacked by bugs so we only did a little. ๐Ÿคฃ

What we did see was beautiful though!
