Come to the Schoolhouse and Relax at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains
We offer a 1 bedroom(queen bed), 1 bath, full kitchen with essential amenities provided. It is located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains providing a 360 degree view of mountain vista. The Schoolhouse still retains its former charm, while being updated with modern amenities (even the bathroom is indoors now).
It is an easy drive to the town of Bedford or Lynchburg, Roanoke, VA. There are many historical sites to visit all within a short drive. Just some local spots of interest are : National D Day Memorial, Jefferson’s Poplar Forest, Liberty Univ. complex, Blue Ridge Parkway ( hiking trails), Peaks of Otter, Natural Bridge, Artisan Trail, Wine Trail, Appomattox Court House. Charlottesville, VA is within a 2 hour drive and provides an abundance of history. The Sedalia Center is located 2.5 miles away and holds several events each month from March to December. You may opt to just sit on the porch and soak up the peaceful, beautiful scenery with a good book. You could also pick up a fishing pole and head off to wet a line in the James River.
