🐸✨ Swipe to see the custom Frog Prince stained glass windows made by the fabulous , one of our favorite repeat guests.

Serena decided to leave her mark at Talking Water by creating this beautiful pair of stained glass panels herself, featuring the very handsome hand-painted Frog Prince.

We are so grateful that someone feels connected enough to this property to want to create something so special for it. Little pieces like this make Talking Water feel even more loved, layered, and alive.

They are gorgeous during the day, but when they light up at night? Pure magic. 🌙🌿✨

♻️ Another person's trash is our treasure!

Bobbie saw some neighbors demoing a beautiful terracotta roof & couldn't stand the thought of them going into a landfill. A little spontaneous climb up a ladder to chat, a little negotiation to divert the dump truck, and a big ole' pile of tiles were dropped at Talking Water!

We found new uses for them around the property. Full tiles are being salvaged for a future shed roof, broken tiles for erosion control on a trail, and nails were recycled 🏡🌎

We love finding partners who care about the planet as much as we do. 🌿♻️

This is Ben unloading recycled glass from Overlooked Materials, a local Chattanooga company that crushes glass bottles and turns them into aggregate.

We mix it into our plaster and concrete whenever we want a little extra pizazz.

You can actually see it in our stacked stone footers.

We got a new trail map and we are excited to show it off! 🗺️🌿

Several miles of private hiking trails, 300 feet of elevation change, 2 blue holes, and so many good landmarks along the way.

Friends like Alex Martinez are true gems. ☀️

Alex has worked in the solar field for decades and is an incredible source of knowledge. He is also just a genuinely lovely person who is always willing to roll up his sleeves and help with one of our many crazy projects.

He joins us for our cordwood workshops, generously shares what he knows about solar, and then sticks around to help with whatever else needs doing.

We are very lucky to have him in our corner.

Oh, and he sculpted a raccoon for us. First time sculpting. Turned out really good. 🙌
