The gazebo is officially ORDERED! 🙌☕🐮

Comfy chairs, a cup of coffee, and Millie and Fred close enough for scratches. My own little therapy spot—somewhere to sit, breathe, and let the rest of the world wait. ❤️

Michael probably thought he was buying a gazebo. Really, he’s funding a therapy office with two very hairy counselors. 😂

Neither has a license. Both expect scratches. And I’m pretty sure one will eat the cushions. 🤦‍♀️🐮

I don’t know Bob’s past. But judging by the fear he carried when I first started working with him, I don’t believe it was kind. 🖤

He was nervous about everything and very unpredictable. I wished he could tell me what frightened him. Instead, I learned to listen to what he could show me—and to give him time.

Gentle touches. Soft words. Quiet moments with nothing asked of him.

And me telling him, “If you got me, I got you. Your safe"

Little by little, he began to trust me. Those moments meant so much—the times he stayed, softened, and let me be close. I wanted him to feel safe with me. Somewhere along the way, he became where I feel safe, too.

Now he is just the calm in the pasture.

He isn’t ridden. Sometimes I stand beside him, rest my hand against him, and finally take the deep breath I didn’t realize I’d been holding. The day can be heavy, and somehow, being near him makes it easier to carry.

His presence alone is absolute peace.

I don’t know his past. But I do know his future. He has a home here, with gentle hands, a familiar voice, and someone who will keep showing up for him.

He gets to be my friend. My therapist. MY HEART HORSE. 🤎

And every time I tell him, “If you got me, I got you,” I hope he knows how deeply I mean it.

Because I’ve got you, Bob. For the rest of your life.

How many reminders does a horse have to give? I require breakfast at a specific time. 🐴⏰

First, a gentle nose bump on the window. Then, a few hoof bangs because Mom clearly isn’t paying attention.

Okay, she clearly hasn’t listened to the hoof bangs. I must now open the door and get her attention.

Mom, I’m 34 years old. Can we PLEASE get breakfast right?! 😂
