Clarification on HOA dues: unchanged for 2021
=================================
Dear residents – by now you should have received your HOA dues invoice by mail. The total charges for 2021 are unchanged from last year ($1995). However, one section of the letter refers to incorrect amounts when describing payment options.

To clarify, the two payment options for 2021 and their correct amounts are as follows:

1) Pay full amount due $1,995.00 by January 1; or
2) Pay $997.50 by January 1 and another $997.50 by July 1 (totaling $1,995.00)

We apologize for any confusion.

Happy Thanksgiving! With the upcoming holiday, our trash and recycling pickup moves to Friday this week.

Please wait until the day prior (Thu) to put bins curbside.

📢 Don't forget! There will be no recycling ♻️ or trash services this Thursday due to the Thanksgiving 🦃 Holiday. Also if your regular service falls on Thursday or Friday, service will be delayed by one day. Collection on Monday - Wednesday will not be affected. Thanks!

Dear neighbors – You might have noticed that brown bags of yard waste were not collected this past Thursday.

Unfortunately, the pickup vendor contracted by the City of Frisco for trash services has temporarily stopped all “hand-touch” collections until further notice, “as a result of COVID-19”. This includes all brown bags of yard waste; bundled limbs and branches are supposedly still being collected, although some bundles seem to have been missed on the rounds this week.

What does this mean for you? Until further notice, please do not put out brown-bagged yard waste for collection, as it will not be picked up, and please ensure you remove any bags currently streetside.

As noted by the City of Frisco in their post below: “At this time, bundled limbs and branches will continue to be collected curbside. Bagged yard waste, consisting of grass clipping and leaves, must be taken to the Custer Road Transfer Station."

Once pickup resumes, we will notify residents it is possible to put out bags for collection again. Thank you!

Bulk and Yard Waste Collections Temporarily Stopped Beginning March 23 Due to COVID-19

Beginning Monday, March 23, collection of bulk and yard waste will temporarily stop until further notice. Waste Connections, the City of Frisco’s contractor, is temporarily ceasing all ‘hand-touch’ inorganic collections as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We apologize for this service interruption and offer the following disposal alternatives:

Bulk: The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) offers three transfer station options and a landfill.
- Plano Parkway Transfer Station, 4030 W. Plano Parkway, Plano
- Custer Road Transfer Station, 9901 Custer Road, Plano
- Lookout Drive Transfer Station, 1601 East Lookout Drive, Richardson
- 121 Regional Disposal Facility, 3820 Sam Rayburn Highway, Melissa

Frisco residents may avoid anticipated long lines by using the Plano Parkway Transfer Station for bulk waste.

Bagged Yard Waste: Bagged yard waste, consisting of grass clipping and leaves, must be taken to the Custer Road Transfer Station. At this time, bundled limbs and branches will continue to be collected curbside. For bundling guidelines, go to FriscoTexas.gov/YardWaste

Frisco residents may drop off bulk waste twice a month and bagged yard waste twice a month for free with their Frisco water bill and matching driver’s license.

Composting: Leaving grass clippings on your lawn or cold composting at home will limit your need to travel to a transfer station during this temporary interruption of service. Here are some tips for leaving clippings on your yard:

- Set your mower blades at 2”, cut grass at or before 3”.
- Remove the bag from your mower (if your mower has this feature).
- Sprinkle grass clippings on your lawn or start a passive, compost pile

A passive compost pile can be created by doing the following:
- Create a barrier of either chicken wire or spaced out lumber, do not cover the top.
- Add leaves, branches, and lawn clippings. (Adding food scraps requires more work; so, for starters, try yard waste.)

Dec 21 - The west fountain has been off for a few days. Our lake vendor inspected it earlier this week and advised that the power supply needs to be serviced by CoServ before the fountain can restart. This also means our aerator remains off temporarily, as it is supplied from that same site in current configuration. MAC Group is coordinating a visit from CoServ, so we hope both will be up and running again soon...thanks for your patience!
