🚨 WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT WHAT WE’RE EATING! 🌱🥩
We can talk all day about the problems with our food system, ultra-processed foods, and what’s being put on our plates. But at some point, we have to stop just talking about the problem and start building the solution!
THAT STARTS WITH COMMUNITY. 🤝🏾🌎
We need to build relationships with our farmers, ranchers, local butchers, and the people who are actually growing and raising our food. Know where your food comes from. Know who you’re buying it from. And whenever possible, put your dollars directly into the hands of the people feeding your community. 💯
Here are a few places to start:
🌱 Black Farmers Index — Find Black farmers near you!
🥩 Jab Wagyu Farms — Tap in for some incredible Wagyu straight from the farm!
🔪 Prolific Butcher Shop 🔪 — Support your local butcher.
🥬 Denton Community Market & Good Local Markets — Shop seasonal fruits and veggies, meet local vendors, and support the people growing your food on Saturdays and Sundays!
We can’t demand a better food system while refusing to support the people trying to build one. We have to get connected, get educated, support local agriculture, and teach our children where their food REALLY comes from. 🌾🍎
The goal is to build communities that can grow, feed, and support one another instead of depending entirely on corporations to decide what ends up on our plates.
😂 These baby eaters trying to control the food supply! We better get connected to the people who grow our food!
FOOD FREEDOM STARTS WITH US. 🌱✊🏾
👇🏾 Tag a local farmer, rancher, butcher, or farmers market that deserves more support. Let’s put everybody on!
