Oconomowoc Woman's Club The Oconomowoc Woman's Club currently has more than 80 active members. Clubs spread throughout the United States. The women of OWC find joy in serving.

Our club is for women who want to improve the lives of others, our community and the world, all while growing friendships and having some fun along the way. The mission statement of the Oconomowoc Woman’s Club (OWC) is that through volunteer efforts we can better our community, our country, and ourselves. All members are asked to take an active part fulfilling our mission by participating on our c

ommittees. Our club becomes alive as members share with us the talents and gifts they have to serve others. Our history started when The General Federation of Women’s Clubs was organized in New York in 1889. The GFWC is the largest organization of volunteer women nationwide with the motto of “Unity in Diversity.” In 1896, the Wisconsin Federation of Women’s Clubs was chartered and convened for the first time in October at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee. Our GFWC / WFWC Oconomowoc Woman's Club was organized in August of 1949. Since starting, the OWC has made many achievements in various areas. We are devoted to improving the lives of adults and children with educational scholarships and donations to organizations that help those in need. Our projects and fundraisers fall under the six Community Service Programs established by the GFWC: The Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Affairs, and Public Issues. At this time we conduct four fundraisers: Trivia Night, Garden Tour, Concession booth at the Festival of Arts, and an Annual Style Show Luncheon. The purpose of the fundraisers is to be able to give donations to approximately 20 different local charities and give scholarship money to students from the Oconomowoc area. Club members are able to choose programs and projects suited to their interests. Besides personal satisfaction, as an Oconomowoc Woman’s Club member, you meet new friends, gain memorable experiences and create a legacy for future women. You will receive more than you give.

What a wonderful afternoon at last week’s Oconomowoc Woman’s Club luncheon! ❤️🌸

In addition to celebrating the installation of our new officers, we were honored to hear from our very own Helen Hertnecky, who shared the incredible mission and impact of Operation Smile. Through this amazing organization, the Oconomowoc Woman’s Club has proudly participated in and supported 59 missions, helping to provide life changing surgeries and hope to children and families around the world.

The installation ceremony was a beautiful reminder of our club’s commitment to service, leadership, and making a positive impact both in our community and beyond. Congratulations to our incoming officers! We look forward to another fantastic year together!

We also have some exciting events on the horizon, with our next big event being the Garden Tour! 🌿🌷 Stay tuned for more details. We can’t wait to share this special event with our community!

What a wonderful weekend at the GFWC Rolling Hills District Meeting held at Delafield Brewhaus!

This year’s theme, The Art of Balance, came to life with an inspiring presentation from Kris Harrington of Two Girls and a Farm. She shared meaningful insights on work life balance, entrepreneurship, and what it takes to grow a business while staying grounded.

We were also treated to incredible artwork from talented middle school students across our local communities. This is a great reminder of the creativity and heart right here at home.❤️🏠
