Cindy, thank you for the 5 Star Google Review!
We just had the most enjoyable stay at Townhouse Suites in Duluth!
We didn't even know where it was (it's behind Kohl's back in the woods). It's in a great location because it's close to the Miller Hill Mall area, but off of Hwy 53 so you don't get the traffic or noise. It's a gorgeous spot and the hotel is brand new.
Marriott hotels are always nice, but this is over the top in perfection and amenities. The walls are thick so you don't hear a thing from your neighbors. If you are a Marriott Rewards member, they bump you up to the best room available. We thought we reserved just a plain king size room and we walked into a suite with a full kitchen and sitting area. The beds are cozy with thick warm comforters, and there are big fluffy towels.
The handle to turn on the water is on the opposite side of the shower head so you don't get wet when you are turning it on. There are two grab bars even though this wasn't an accessibility room. There are two shelves nice and high to put your own items, and a towel hook right in reach. The kitchen has everything imaginable, and then there's this great light-up closet.
But probably the most important part is the service. Ron was at the front desk and both of us commented on how we've never met anyone at a hotel so cheery and helpful. He told us he had tried to bump us up to a nicer room, but there wasn't one available (so apologized) which was why we were even more shocked when we walked into our room.
And lastly, breakfast was amazing with lots of healthy choices of both hot and cold items. We stay in Duluth frequently, so there is nowhere else we will stay. And the price was right. Thanks to Ron and the Marriott staff!
