This is that stretch of September where you want a hoodie after sunset but the hot tub still feels like a reward. Days on quiet trails, nights split between the fire pit outside and the 100" theater downstairs with everybody sprawled out.

Mid-September might be the quietest the mountains get. 🍎🌲

Mercier Orchards is picking, the summer crowds have thinned out, and the mornings finally have that cool edge to them. Slow coffee on the screened porch, an afternoon down by the Coosawattee, and absolutely nothing on the schedule.

Our September is open from here on out — the 11th–12th, the 18th–19th, the 25th–26th, and most of the midweek in between. Two nights is all it takes to feel like a different week.

Mercier Orchards is picking, the evenings up here have finally cooled off, and our table seats eight.

Tag the person you'd load into the car for a Saturday of apple picking, a trunk full of c***r donuts, and dinner back at the cabin where nobody has to drive anywhere afterward 🍎🥧

That's the part people forget to plan for — the drive home. Up here there isn't one. You just walk in, start the fire, and stay put.

The whole weekend of September 18–20 is open. 🍂

Friday, Saturday, Sunday — all three nights, nobody in them yet. And honestly, that's the weekend we'd pick if we were booking it ourselves: the evenings have finally cooled off, the orchards are picking, and the leaf-season crowds haven't shown up yet.

Private hot tub under the trees. Fire pit down in the woods. Arcade and the 100" theater downstairs for when it gets late. Sleeps 6, and the pup's welcome in the fenced run.

Ten minutes from downtown Ellijay. Zero minutes from doing absolutely nothing.

Apple Festival weekend (Oct 8–10) and the stretch from Oct 17–26 are open right now, and those are the weeks the woods around the cabin really put on a show. Gold and red right outside every window, orchards in full swing, and nights cool enough that the fireplace earns its keep.

Leaf season is the one stretch here that genuinely sells out — every year, without fail. If October is on your list, now's the time. 🔥

The summer rush is over, the trails are quiet, and the evenings cool off just enough that the hot tub feels right again. Sun drops behind the trees, steam rising, nothing on the calendar.

Our mid-September weekends are open — the 11th, the 18th, the 25th — and so is most of the month in between. It's the easiest weekend of the year to just… go.

We had a cancellation, so the third weekend of September is suddenly free. It's the only Friday–Sunday we have left this month.

That's peak apple season in Ellijay. Mercier Orchards is picking, the air finally has a bite to it, and the first color is starting to show in the treetops.

Slow morning on the screened porch, s'mores around the fire pit after dark, and the hot tub waiting when it gets cold enough to matter. Bring the dog — the run is fenced.
