Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Sunday, alternating between locations in Fort Worth & Dallas.

A big thank-you to The Chocolate Botanist™️ for stopping by our table and spending some time chatting begonias with us at PlantCon!

What started as a little troubleshooting turned into a fascinating conversation about ethnobotany and even an invitation to potentially join him on his podcast! How exciting!

Your energy was a wonderful way to kick off our morning. We truly appreciate you taking the time to stop by, say hello, and stay awhile. It was a pleasure connecting with you, Derek, and sharing our love of begonias!

Here are some photos from our field trip to Steve's Leaves for our monthly meeting yesterday. Of course we were all obsessed with the begonias, but everything in there is just beautiful. We want to thank Steve, Kim, Ryan, and their staff for having us out there and showing us around. It was a beautiful day!

B. ‘Lota Rose’

‘Lota Rose’ is a Rhizomatous begonia with a lobed leaf shape and spiraled leaf base. The colors of this begonia are perfect for spooky season.

Come out to the plant sale at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden for the final day. All begonias are buy 1 get 1 free (including terrarium). There are lot of plants left so come on out and take a look.

Look at these terrarium begonias at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens Fall Plant Sale! Don and Jessica will be there today, along with other volunteers, to answer questions and figure out what will work best for you. Stop by the sale today or tomorrow and bring home some new begonia babies! 💚

Species begonia native to Brazil. This begonia is a thick stemmed type with a lanceolate leaf shape. The leaf texture is described as sand papery. B. egregia will grow quickly during its growing season and will look full.
