The most haunted forest in Galena is ten minutes from Main Street. 🌲👻

FEAR FOREST opens this weekend at the Shenandoah Riding Center — 200 N. Brodrecht Rd., right in The Galena Territory. It's a fully immersive 20-to-30-minute haunted walk through darkened woods: theatrical scare performers, uneven terrain, atmospheric lighting. Gates are open FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16 and SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 7:00–10:00pm — and it runs Fridays and Saturdays all month (Oct 23 & 24 too, with live music from Ten Gallon Hat 7–10pm before the walk on the 24th).

The details: $20 online, $25 at the door — door tickets are limited, so buy ahead. Questions? Call 815-777-9550. And be honest with yourself about the scare level: real woods, real darkness, real uneven ground.

Practical tips: sturdy closed-toe shoes (the terrain is no joke), dress warm for an outdoor October night walk, and leave the little ones home — this one's for brave teens and up. Daytime alternative at the same barn: Halloween Pony Parties, Saturday Oct 24, 10am–4:30pm — $25 per child (ages 5–10), registration required, with stall-or-treat and a costume contest.
