Today marks one year since my beautiful mother, Lupe Mendoza Ortiz de Navarro, gained her wings.

It is hard to believe an entire year has passed. Not a single day goes by that I don’t think of her, miss her voice, her laughter, her hugs, and even her silly nonsense jokes that could make us laugh when we needed it most. She had a special way of bringing joy into a room and making everyone feel loved.

My mom was a woman of many talents. Most people knew her for her incredible cooking, but she also had so many hidden gifts. She loved plants and could bring almost anything back to life. She was artistic, creative, and talented in ways that always amazed us. She enjoyed drawing, creating beautiful things with her hands, and sharing her knowledge with anyone willing to learn. She taught us about healthy living, hard work, kindness, and how to care for others without expecting anything in return.

She lived her life with love, generosity, creativity, and faith. The lessons she taught us continue to guide us every day. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and through every life she touched.

Through every meal shared, every flower planted, every recipe passed down, every act of kindness, every laugh, and every event created with love, we honor her memory.

Momma Lupe’s legacy will continue forever. Although we miss her deeply, we carry her spirit with us in everything we do.

Thank you, Mom, for the memories, the wisdom, the love, the laughter, and the countless gifts you shared with all of us.

We love you.
We miss you.
And we will carry you in our hearts forever. ❤️
