This Labor Day weekend, you’re invited to experience more than just a getaway—you’ll step into 144 years of Texas history. 🤠🇺🇸

The Leibold-Grothues Ranch was established in 1882 and has remained in the hands of the same family for six generations. What began as as an expansive ranch has grown into what is now Lake Medina RV Resort, but our roots have never changed. We still raise cattle, care for this land, and proudly share its history with our guests.

One of the most special moments of the weekend will be on Saturday at 7:00 PM, when Marlene Leibold Grothues shares what it was like growing up on the ranch. Hear firsthand stories of life before modern conveniences, the family’s fishing camp on Medina Lake, ranching through the generations, and the traditions that have been passed down for over a century.

It’s a rare opportunity to hear the history of this Texas Century Ranch from someone who lived it.
