Sometimes the biggest stories are hiding in plain sight.

My dad’s ladder. Our son’s steel staircase.

Two generations of craftsmanship, quietly woven into The Carpenter’s Cabin.

In my defense, I’ve never given bad advice. 🌲

Do I encourage spontaneous trips to the woods? Absolutely.

Am I going to stop? Absolutely not. 🥂

When the leaves fall, the pines take center stage.

Tucked among towering evergreens, The Carpenter’s Cabin feels a little more secluded, a little quieter, and every bit as beautiful in winter.

Some seasons are made for staying in.

I love that after all these years, The Carpenter’s Cabin still makes me stop and take it all in. What started as an idea has become a place filled with stories, laughter, and memories we’ll never even know about.

And that’s pretty special. 🤎

The Carpenter’s Cabin was where it all began.

Four stories, a conversation pit, unexpected spaces, and an entirely different approach to a Hocking Hills getaway.

Our newest Journal entry explores something we’ve believed since the beginning: where you stay should be just as memorable as everything you do while you’re there.

Where You Stay Is Part of the Experience

Now on the Eco-Luxe Journal.

Getaway, defined.

Four stories tucked into the trees. Room to spread out, reconnect, and disappear into the woods for a while.

Some plans deserve to make it out of the group chat.

A girls’ getaway at The Carpenter’s Cabin means four stories tucked into the pines, a hot tub under the trees, fires at night, plenty of places to spread out—and enough room to actually bring the whole group.
