🚨One thing we’ve learned in our Airbnb journey is how much we LOVE the Hospitality part. 🌼We’ve never asked our guests to remove sheets, vacuum, wash dishes, load the towels in the washer or take out the garbage…So the new rules will not affect the running of our home. We’ve prepared our place to be easy. Easy to stay in and easy to take care of.
It is sad to see the Airbnb forum posts rights now. Our work as Hosts for Guests is not an unfortunate interruption; it is part of hospitality. Hosting should not come with resentment toward guests for creating the normal work that comes with being a host. And guests should not have a cleaning fee and and still have to clean. We expect great guests to be respectful of our home, with very normal requests and boundaries. And with that they get our special care of feeling like family!
Hospitality is the willingness to welcome people, care for them while they are with you, and willingly do the work that comes with having hosted them.
