When you ask me how I keep earning points to fund my Business and First Class flights 👉 this is one of the strategies I use.

**If you don’t have Bilt status (at least Silver), I highly recommend choosing Amex points as your payout method on Rakuten, since the transfer ratio for non-status holders is not 1:1.

What these points can actually do?
Amex and Bilt points are flexible, and that is what makes them worth chasing. You move them to airline and hotel partners and book real trips with them.

Remember to cancel your subscription if you don’t plan to renew it - setup an alarm so you don’t forget.

🚨 AMEX PLATINUM CARDHOLDERS! Your $600 Hotel Credit is getting some BIG changes, and there are a few things you NEED to know before booking your next trip!

First, the $600 Hotel Credit is being renamed the $600 Lodging Credit:

1️⃣ AIRBNB LUXE IS NOW INCLUDED!

You can now use your Platinum Card’s lodging credit toward eligible Airbnb Luxe properties, not just hotels!

But don’t get too excited and book just ANY Airbnb!

→ It must be an actual Airbnb Luxe property, which represents only a small slice of Airbnb’s listings.
→ You must book through Amex Travel, NOT directly through Airbnb.
→ The reservation must be prepaid using your eligible Platinum Card.
→ A minimum stay of TWO consecutive nights is required.
→ You’ll need to link your eligible Amex account to an Airbnb account in your name.

2️⃣ BIG CHANGE STARTING JANUARY 1, 2027!

Currently, you can book a ONE-NIGHT stay through Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR) and qualify for your Platinum Card’s hotel statement credit.

But starting January 1, 2027, FHR bookings will require a MINIMUM OF TWO NIGHTS to qualify for the $600 Lodging Credit.

You can STILL book a one-night FHR stay and enjoy all the incredible perks:

• Complimentary daily breakfast for two
• A $100 property credit toward eligible charges
• Room upgrade upon arrival, when available
• Late checkout
• Early check-in, when available

So NO, you’re NOT losing your FHR perks on one-night stays!

3️⃣ HOW DOES THE $600 LODGING CREDIT WORK?

The benefit is still divided into TWO six-month periods:

January 1 – June 30: Up to $300 in statement credits
July 1 – December 31: Up to $300 in statement credits

The credit applies to eligible prepaid bookings through Fine Hotels + Resorts, The Hotel Collection, and now Airbnb Luxe!

The Hotel Collection still requires a minimum two-night stay.

An open letter without the help of AI: This wont be polished, but it’ll be true!

Hey, you. I see you’ve been dreaming about a bigger life. I was too. I was also so impatient and didn’t want to wait to see my dreams coming true. I wanted all and I wanted now.

I tried so many different things, but little did I know the secret was actually hidden in the journey.
