As Halloween approaches, I decided to create a coiling project with my pottery class, selecting vases with Halloween decorations. I chose Frankenstein and his bride as my example for the class, but I need to add Frankenstein's castle and some clouds to the top to complete it. My technique has excited the students, who initially doubted its effectiveness. I will add the students' work when they finish. I can't wait to see these vases glazed!

I noticed the moon over the lake tonight and I knew it was going to be a fantastic night for the moon but as it came over the mountain across the lake it was as bright the sun!!! Awesome night and photos do no justice. The amazing sight was on the water. 😊

We went for a visit to the longest natural bridge in Alabama east of the Rockies this weekend. It is an easy and short walk and the dogs loved it. It is an easy walk but is worth seeing. A true Alabama treasure!!

I just framed these portraits of our dogs. They are hard-edge paints done with acrylic paint. Hard-edged means that each color has to be taped off and then painted one color at a time. I just so happened to catch each dog at different times over a period of time sitting on the front of the pontoon taking in the view of the lake. Each painting is two different views of each end of the lake and different times of the day-mid-day after a rain and sunset.
