Camp Fury13 has always stood for responsible tourism, environmental stewardship, health awareness, community development, and creating opportunities for both local residents and visitors. Through our efforts, we have welcomed guests from around the world, helping showcase the beauty, culture, and potential of Real, Quezon.
Today, we respectfully call upon the Municipal Government of Real, particularly the Tourism Office and other concerned agencies, to look into the ongoing issues surrounding the Sta. Clara project in our area.
As a small business operating legally and contributing to the local economy through taxes, permits, tourism promotion, and employment opportunities, we are deeply concerned about the impact that the construction activities have had on our property, neighboring businesses, and local residents. These concerns include the construction of structures that have significantly affected our surroundings, as well as issues related to dust, noise, and environmental disturbance that may potentially affect public health and safety.
We believe that all development projects, regardless of their size or the companies behind them, must comply with applicable Philippine laws and regulations, including environmental protection laws, local government regulations, zoning ordinances, nuisance provisions under the Civil Code, and the constitutional right of every Filipino to a balanced and healthful ecology.
Progress should never come at the expense of communities, small businesses, public health, or the environment. Development and responsible stewardship must go hand in hand.
One of our greatest concerns is that no representative from the company or concerned government offices approached us to discuss the project, its potential impacts, or any mitigating measures before major activities commenced. Meaningful consultation and transparency are essential components of responsible development.
Should these concerns remain unaddressed, we are prepared to pursue all lawful remedies available under Philippine law and elevate the matter to the appropriate government agencies, and if necessary, to national authorities for proper review and investigation.
We encourage fellow business owners, residents, and community members to respectfully voice their concerns through proper channels. Civic participation is not opposition to progress, it is a fundamental part of ensuring that development benefits everyone fairly and responsibly.
Let us act before preventable environmental, health, or community issues become more serious. Let us work together to ensure that progress in Real, Quezon is sustainable, transparent, and respectful of the people who call this place home.
There can be progress without stepping on others.
