One bridge, two bridges or all three? 🚴

The SBI Three Bridge Tour rolls through Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle and Holden Beach on Saturday, November 7, starting at 9 AM from Ocean Isle Beach Park. New this year is a 100 mile Century Ride, and there's a kids' ride for ages 4 to 12 so the whole family can join in.

Vrbo moves to a flat 12% commission on bookings made on or after October 29. Airbnb's new house rules, contract limits and guest data policies apply to reservations booked on or after November 20.

The Witches Ride takes over Oak Island on Saturday, the NC Festival by the Sea brings craft booths to Holden Beach, and Calabash is celebrating Oktoberfest.

Brooms up, Oak Island! 🧹

The Witches Ride rolls through town this Saturday, October 24, from 12 to 4 PM, and it is one of our favorite days of the whole fall season. Costumes, decorated golf carts and a whole lot of purple and black, all ending with the Witches Dance at Middleton Park.

The ride is adults only, with a suggested $10 donation that goes to the Oak Island Sea Turtle Protection Program and the Sea Biscuit Wildlife Shelter.

Who said pool season ends in September? 🌊 This was a sunny October afternoon at Ride the Tide on Oak Island. Fall is one of the best kept secrets on the coast: warm days, quiet beaches and a pool all to yourself. The private pool, fire pit and dock with kayaks are all still waiting, and fall rates are lower than summer. Book direct and skip the booking fees.

Every October, Holden Beach throws one of the best hometown parties on the coast. 🎨🌊

The NC Festival by the Sea is heading into its fifth decade, and it’s the kind of event that shows you what the Brunswick Islands are really like once the summer crowds head home. Over 100 arts and crafts vendors set up at the Holden Beach Pavilion with everything from handmade jewelry and candles to coastal art, plus live music both days, a sandcastle contest, a horseshoe tournament, and plenty of food.

Bringing the kids? There’s face painting, kite flying, and a costume contest. And keep an eye out for Seaside Santa, a local vendor who’s become a fun festival tradition.

Consider this your warning, witches are coming to Oak Island.

The Oak Island Witches Ride is back on October 24th, and if you haven't experienced it yet, this is the year. Riders (walking, golf carts, and yes, still no bikes required) make their way between local restaurants and bars throughout the day, all dressed up and ready for a good time. No registration needed, just a suggested $10 donation, with proceeds going to Oak Island Sea Turtle Protection Program and the Sea Biscuit Wildlife Shelter.

The day wraps up with the Witches Dance at Middleton Park, so plan to stick around for that. If you're coming from out of town, we've got beach houses close to all the action.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here on Oak Island that means one thing: Pledge the Pink 🎀

Pledge the Pink is back October 15-18, and it's honestly one of the best weekends the island has all year. About 1,500 women walk, run, and even crawl their way through 30 miles over three days, all to raise money for breast cancer research. If you've ever been on the island that weekend, you know the energy is unmatched, pink everywhere, strangers cheering each other on, the whole community showing up.

Whether you're taking part or just visiting that weekend, wear pink with us! It's a small way to show support for a cause that's touched so many families here.
