Dizzy Miss Lizzy OKI

10/26/2026

Hey Dizzy Miss Lizzy OKI friends! I know there has been a lot of buzz on social media concerning Airbnb lately. The bottom line is that Airbnb (and VRBO) are increasing their commission fees. They are presenting it to guests as they are getting rid of guest fees, but telling us hosts to raise our nightly prices so they can take it from that.

I have been very grateful for the wonderful guests I have hosted so far and it is important to me to continue to offer a reasonably affordable, safe, and clean experience to vacationers. I am currently working on setting up a direct booking option so that families can avoid the third party commission fees. So stay tuned! As soon as the link is ready I will share it here! I will still continue to have the house on Airbnb and VRBO, but the rates will be a bit higher on those platforms.

As before, there will not be a long list of checkout chores or restrictions on amenities. I use a wonderful cleaning company and they agree that guests should enjoy their vacation!

Thank you all for your support!

Dizzy Miss Lizzy OKI recently got a little outdoor makeover! Brand new furniture for the screen porch! There is also a cooler conveniently located between the two tall Adirondack chairs. And since Mr. Dizzy has an EV vehicle, he installed a 30 amp and 50 amp hook-ups. You just need to bring your charger!

Book your stay today and stay tuned for more home improvements! #

Came down to do a mid-summer check on the house between check-out and check-out! BHS Cleaning is doing a great job keeping the house ship-shape for guests! Oh how I wish I could stay!
