The Castle on Silver Lake Bed & Breakfast was originally built to be the luxurious castle of a wealthy, eccentric industrialist, Sam Jones, who fell in love with this magical, remote island and its people. Today, the most striking structure on Silver Lake harbor has been transformed into upscale accommodations that maintain the casual feel of a traditional Outer Banks cottage. The Founders Suite is named after Sam Jones who the founder of the Castle Inn, the Berkley manor and was such an important part of Ocracoke Islands history. The Suite is one of the largest on the property and also has a completely remodeled bathroom.
