Back at it!!

It’s a dreary day here in the NC and that’s a good thing, since hubby and I have both managed to injure ourselves with pulled or strained muscles! 😩 We both feel wildly lazy and unproductive, but we really do need to be resting in order to heal.

I’ve been putting off this yarn winding for my next project so today felt like a great day to get it done and get my sweater started! The beautiful yarn is courtesy of the fabulous Christa Emmerson | The Frosted Stitch and as usual, the colors are even more beautiful in person, not to mention her yarn is fabulous to work with!

Also, peep my new kitchen in the background! We finally took the leap and redid our kitchen this summer in what was likely to quickest and most smooth construction project ever!!!! Quite the change from our nightmare bathroom reno a few years ago! Our new contractor was absolutely fabulous and we can’t wait to do more projects with him soon!

Introducing the Influencer Sweater 2.0 from Jen - Crochet, Tunisian crochet, & Knit Designer

The Influencer Sweater is a few years old, and I passed on testing the original version because it “wasn’t my style.” Boy was I WRONG!!! Once I saw all the amazing versions from the testers, I realized how wrong I was. And of course I jumped at the chance to test the updated version!

This updated version still has the amazing clean lines of the original, created with Tunisian crochet, but with an updated gauge for a fabulous drape. While I am very vocal about my hatred of seaming, this sweater was actually FUN to seam! And the shoulder seams add a decorative touch that I just can’t get enough of!

Happy Monday! Late last week was the release of the Crosswind Skinny Scarf by the talented .

I always love testing for Mariana, and I love a good one skein project. This new skinny scarf for sure fits the bill! It’s fully customizable - shorter and skinner or longer and not skinny. I always choose longer, and my goal is to use a full skein which I did and I’m loving the result. Go grab your copy today!

Enjoyed a lovely, quiet but productive weekend with the hubby. Lots of time was spent on our front porch, after everything was cleaned from all the nasty pollen. We are definitely enjoying this beautiful spring weather we’ve been having before the heat hits very soon. I’m not ready! I want to keep this cooler weather for as long as possible!

I love it when my blanket project gets large enough to also keep me warm while working!

Lazy Saturday am at home with the hubs on this dreary day. Some coffee, crochet and F1 before we get our day started.

I’ve been wanting to make a buffalo plaid blanket for my porch for years! All my holiday porch decos are Buffalo plaid so of course the couch needs a matching blanket. The issue is I’ve been struggling to find a pattern I liked. So I finally decided to put my own spin on one that’s close. Thanks to Buffalo plaid baby blanket pattern, I finally settled on something I liked, with a few tweaks. It’s coming along much faster than expected, partially because I can’t seem to put it down! Stay tuned for the finished blanket soon!
