The historic Charles Town home known as Aspen Hill was constructed in 1840 by James G. Hurst and is an example of middle-architecture in the antebellum period. Aspen Hill was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as an example of the middle-class homes constructed during this period. Aspen Hill original structure, a log cabin was built in 1741. Aspen Hill Manor will be the future home of a B&B, wedding venue and social gatherings.

The lovely pond in the front it now overgrown and part of the farm next door property. I was told Aspen Hill use to be 300 acres. The property now sits on 6.56 acres.
