📚 CHOIR HOMEWORK | LESSON 3
THE STAGES OF TEAM DEVELOPMENT

Every great team goes through stages before it reaches excellence. Strong teams aren’t built overnight they’re developed through commitment, communication, and growth.

This week we learned the 5 Stages of Team Development:

🟣 1. Forming
This is where the team comes together. Members are getting to know one another, learning expectations, and discovering their roles.

🟠 2. Storming
Differences begin to surface. Opinions, personalities, and challenges may create conflict, but this stage is necessary for growth.

🔵 3. Norming
The team begins to understand one another. Trust grows, communication improves, and members start working together more effectively.

🟢 4. Performing
This is where the team functions at a high level. Everyone understands their role, supports one another, and works together toward a common purpose.

🟣 5. Adjourning
After completing a goal or assignment, the team reflects, celebrates what was accomplished, and prepares for the next opportunity to serve.

As the Cor 2:9 Community Choir, we understand that every rehearsal, every ministry assignment, and every challenge is helping us grow into the team God has called us to be.

📖 Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.”

💭 Homework Reflection
• Which stage do you think our choir is currently in?
• How can you help move the team toward the Performing stage?
• Are you encouraging unity or creating division?

🎶 Remember:
Healthy teams don’t avoid challenges… they grow through them.

📚 CHOIR HOMEWORK | WEEK 1
GROUPS vs. TEAMS
Many people use the words group and team interchangeably, but they are not the same.

A group is simply people gathered together. They may have similar interests, but each person often focuses on their own individual goals.

A team is made up of people with different gifts, responsibilities, and strengths who work together toward one common vision. A team communicates, supports one another, shares accountability, and celebrates success together.

🎶 In the Cor 2:9 Community Choir, we don’t just want to be a group of singers. We are striving to become a TEAM that ministers with one voice, one purpose, and one heart.

As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12, every member has a different function, but every function is important. When everyone does their part, the entire body is strengthened.

💭 Homework Reflection:
Ask yourself…
• Am I contributing to the team’s success?
• Do I encourage others?
• Do I communicate well?
• Am I committed to the vision, or just showing up?

Remember…

A group gathers.
A team grows.
A team serves.
A team succeeds.

Great Performance & The support the night crowd showed was so awesome !
🎤🔥 DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO… WE SHOWED UP!!

What an unforgettable night! We had the honor of ministering and singing at an incredible Downtown K Street event, lifting up the name of Jesus right in the heart of Sacramento. The atmosphere was amazing, the people were incredible, and after an awesome time of ministry and fellowship, we all went and smashed Yard House together! 🙌🏽🍔🎶

COR 2:9 Community Choir… WOW! You all are really growing into true artists. Every rehearsal, every sacrifice, every lesson, and every opportunity is paying off. Watching this choir mature and represent Christ with excellence has been an incredible blessing.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who invited us to be part of the Downtown K Street event and showed us so much love! Thank you for opening the door for us, donating your space, giving financially, investing your time, sharing us across your social media, and even inviting your own family and friends to come support us. That kind of love and generosity doesn’t go unnoticed. We truly appreciate every one of you, and we pray God blesses you abundantly for sowing into what He’s doing through this ministry.

This isn’t just about singing it’s about ministry, unity, and impacting our city one song at a time.

And one thing… let the money create more opportunities for y’all but don’t let it change y’all! 😂 Stay humble, stay hungry, stay teachable, and always remember why we started. God opened these doors, and He’s the One who deserves all the glory.

To God be ALL the glory! 🙏🏽

We’re just getting started! 🚀 The rest of this year is on FIRE! More opportunities. More ministry. More music. More souls. More growth. This is only the beginning!

I’m proud of every single one of you. Keep working. Keep growing. Stay focused. Stay humble. The best is still ahead!
