Who is leading you when life gets difficult?
We like to believe we're making our own choices.
But as working parents, especially when we're tired, overwhelmed, or under pressure, something else can quietly take the lead.
Perhaps our reaction goes back to the way we were raised.
Perhaps it's our expectations of what a good parent should be.
Perhaps it's fear of disappointing others, or the need to be in control.
And sometimes, we're simply repeating old patterns because that's how we've always reacted, rather than taking a moment to thoughtfully respond.
The interesting part?
We can change. At any time.
We can become curious about our reactions, recognize what influences us, and begin to make different choices.
This is where we begin ‘intentional leadership’.
With getting to know ourselves well enough to become the leader of our own lives. To lead our life.
The way we lead ourselves influences and shapes the relationships we create — at home and everywhere else.
