Sometimes you see a name and your imagination goes wild, the true story behind it can be almost as good as your imagination. 🤣

The truth behind the 💋Kissing Tree; in July 1857 Sam Houston, who was campaigning for governor, spoke under a huge live oak on the San Marcos River. Local ladies had sewn him a Texas flag and he thanked each with a kiss 😘 on the cheek which caused a scandal in 1857! That oak tree is known as the Kissing Tree which today is still standing.

Now 💋Kissing Tree is a 55+ community in San Marcos named for the legend and built for people starting their next chapter. I’m sure they are living loud and not winding down. 🤣
