Red and I have had an agreement for years.

Even though I usually start suffering from fall fever somewhere around the middle of August, I’ve agreed to hold off on any actual fall decorating until September 1.

And here we are. 🍂

I haven’t had time to pull out the fall bins yet — Bloom Bar things have had my attention — but that doesn’t mean I can’t usher in the ‘Ber’ months another way.

So today, it’s all about the yummy fall scents.

The decorating can wait just a little longer.

But the house can absolutely smell like fall in the meantime. 🤎

The Bloom Bar is officially available to rent! 🌸

I love a beautiful flower bar, but one of my favorite things about this stand is that you get to make it your own.

Rent the stand, choose your flowers, and create something that fits your gathering. The Teacher Appreciation setup shown here was rented and styled by a customer using flowers they selected themselves—and I love how completely different it looks!

And apparently, flowers are only the beginning. A friend recently sent me the cutest trick-or-treat station idea from , using a similar setup for candy, tiny toys, and little surprises. Such a fun idea—and it immediately had me wondering what else this stand could become.

Flowers. Treats. Favors. Maybe something none of us has thought of yet.

If Gather Well has seemed a little quiet this summer, there’s been a reason.

At the end of June, I closed a chapter that had been a meaningful part of my life for a long time.

There were sweet goodbyes, flowers, plenty of food, and one last walk into an office filled with memories and people I’ll always be grateful for.

But while one chapter was ending, another was quietly building.

Gather Well.

This summer has held a lot of behind-the-scenes work — building the website, making plans, creating, learning, and slowly putting the pieces together.

And now I’m ready to start sharing more of it with you.

Here’s to new chapters — and to gathering well along the way.

Today can hold many different emotions.

For some, Mother’s Day is full of celebration and gratitude.
For others, it carries grief, longing, complicated relationships, or unanswered prayers.

To the women missing their mothers…
the women who have lost children…
the women waiting and hoping to become mothers…
the women who mother others quietly every day…
and the women carrying both joy and sorrow at the same time—

You are seen today, too.

Busy weekend at Gather Well.

Centerpieces for a Widow/Widowers Luncheon.
A fresh set for tomorrow night’s VBS Rally.
The flower stand headed to a local school for a teacher appreciation bloom bar.
And a couple of planters in the works for an upcoming Senior Sunday lunch.

Different gatherings. Different needs.
Same heart behind all of it.

A mix of quiet moments, busy hands, and meaningful work.

There wasn’t a birthday party for our six year old grandson this year.

We chose something different.

He’s always been drawn to hands-on, sensory kinds of things.

So we built the celebration around that.

And it turns out…that was more than enough.

A reminder I don’t want to forget - celebrations don’t have to be elaborate to be meaningful.

(Even the name tags were part of the fun - every vowel turned into “oo.)

It doesn’t have to be elaborate to feel meaningful.

This table came together with simple layers—greens, soft whites, a mix of pieces we’ve had and a few newer ones that just felt right this season.

The arrangements blend real and faux for both ease and longevity.

Nothing overdone.
Just thoughtful.

Because the goal was never perfection…

it was creating a space that feels welcoming when people gather around it.

The kind of table that quietly says—
you’re invited, and we’re glad you’re here.
