Augusta Harvest Festival September 18, 19 & 20
The Greater Augusta Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Augusta Harvest Festival on September 18, 19, and 20. The festival kicks off with Swingin' in the Vines celebrating the harvest season! Friday evening, September 18, The evening begins at The Harmonie, 5333 Hackman Rd. where pumpkin wagons will take you to and from Honey Bee Vineyards.
Once there, you will pick up your picnic basket for two, select your included bottle of wine, enjoy a port tasting in a historic wine cellar, and dance under the stars to Sweetie and the Toothaches. On Saturday, September 19, the Augusta Harvest Festival continues with the annual parade. The Augusta Fire Department, Augusta Elementary, the grape harvester, and other local businesses and organizations will participate in this year's parade. The GACC welcomes you to join. Entries are open to all ages and may include walking groups, side-by-sides, bicycles, cars, tractors, floats, or whatever your imagination can create. The parade will start from The Harmonie; line-up begins at 9:30 a.m., and the parade starts at 10 a.m. The parade will make its way from The Harmonie down Hackman Rd., to Lower Street, and then onto Walnut Street. Please consider joining the parade or stopping by to cheer on the participants.
After the parade, there will be activities for the whole family. The Kids Zone will offer 20250920 110746pony rides, a petting zoo, and giant inflatable slides. Families can visit the craft vendors and enjoy a variety of food and drinks, including adult beverages for those 21 and older. The Texas Giants will entertain the crowd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
One of the day's highlights is the Pie Contest. Visit the Town Square after the parade to see the winners of the parade and the Pie Contest announced. Visitors can bid on the winning pies or purchase several slices to sample. Click here for details and how to enter.
On Saturday evening, the Winemaker's Dinner is an unforgettable, carefully curated five-course meal by Chef Ryan Horner of Oak & Front Kitchen & Bar. Each dish will be paired with wines selected by an Augusta winemaker. The dinner is held at Schultz Haus Vineyard, 350 Heger Court, Augusta, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person, and proceeds from the evening benefit Lydia's House.
On Sunday, September 20, be part of the perfect finale to the Harvest Festival weekend with a Miss Augusta Cruise from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cruise will feature Chef Don's buffet-style gourmet brunch as you cruise the scenic views and the beauty of autumn aboard the Miss Augusta. Proceeds from the festival benefit the Greater Augusta Chamber of Commerce, unless otherwise noted. The organization uses these funds to bring events to the community and assist the Town of Augusta with various projects.
