While the rest of our guests are sleeping, I had to come check out the night sounds.
I usually do my best creating late at night and tonight was one of those nights. The Easter bunny brought us the sweetest little peep this year on Easter, our newest grandson Beau π I have been trying to get some adorable things made up for him.
As my sewing machine kept clicking along, I kept thinking, this machine is rather loud tonight, but kept going trying to get things finished. Then all of a sudden it dawned on me...."It's the Peepers!" The rain we have, FINALLY, had here and there, must have brought them out.
After I completed my projects and I decided to head outside. It was after midnight but I didn't mind. I love hearing the peepers. It reminds me so much of growing up in the country.
The air was a little balmy and just the perfect temp to hang outside and listen for a bit. The night sounds were just amazing tonight. The peepers were singing, birds still chirping, frogs talking, coyotes in the distance calling, and even Mr. Owl greeted me a time or two.
Beauty can truly be discovered day or night, if we just stop and pause for awhile.
