Snowflakes falling.
Fire crackling.
Blanket pulled tight.
Quiet moments that feel like medicine.

This is why we come here.
This is why we stay awhile. 🔥❄️

Snow globe vibes at Road Lake Retreat ❄️
Winter magic, Northwoods edition.

10/05/2025

Mornings wrapped in smoke and ember,
the fire crackling against the chill.
Leaves drift silently onto the lake,
as the paddleboard carries you through their gentle descent.

By evening, the water becomes a mirror —
the sun slipping west,
the moon rising east,
a golden handoff written across the horizon.

And in between, long walks among the pines,
their roots steady, their whispers ancient,
reminding you that stillness is its own kind of song.

Fall here is a season of pause.
A reminder to linger, to listen,
to let the beauty of endings
feel as holy as beginnings. 🍂✨

This is where the busy fades, where we trade schedules for stories, scrolling for stillness, and to-dos for toes in the sun. This is our little retreat — the place that brings us back to what really matters.

Ready for a long holiday weekend… on the lake… in the northwoods!

06/13/2025

The dock is in.
The paddle boards are out.
The tiki torches are ready for nightfall.

Summer has returned to Road Lake Retreat —
and with it, the simple magic we grew up on.

Days that begin barefoot and end by the fire.
The hum of loons at dusk.
Board games on rainy afternoons.
Drippy popsicles, sun-kissed shoulders,
and memories that feel like they belong to every generation.

If you’ve been craving a slower pace,
a place to unplug and just be —
this is it.

We’ve opened our calendar to friends, family, and those who feel like both.
Message us to check availability or reserve your summer stay.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the lake. ☀️🌊🔥
