To say that the June retreat was productive would be an understatement! Just quality crafting time while at the retreat without meal prepping, cleaning or laundry! Why shouldn’t every crafter get to experience this?!?

The next scheduled retreat will be July 13th -16th. You can participate in a class being taught by Patti Shores to make a Double Wedding Ring quilt using a jelly roll or just come to dedicate time for your UFOs.

Mark your calendars to participate in a Double Wedding Ring tutorial taught by Patti Shores at Rusted Star Quilt Retreats on July 13-16, 2026! You won't want to miss Patti teaching us the jelly roll technique of making a stunning quilt! With this method, you won't be intimidated by all the small pieces and will be quite happy with your end result.

Patti will be providing step-by-step guidance on how to make a Double Wedding Ring Quilt by sewing 2.5" strips and utilizing templates by Marti Michell to cut the background, arcs and ends of arcs. All templates will be provided to registered attendees.

A booklet will be provided to each registered attendee with step-by-step instructions, along with a supply list needed for the class. You may choose to make a twin, double/queen, or king size quilt.

Patti will be teaching in 4 sessions (2 hours each) during the retreat on July 13-16. The class fee will be $ 40 per attendee.

The regular retreat price will remain the same at $ 365 for 4 days/3 nights and includes breakfast and lunch for each day. Dinner option is available for a nominal fee.

Rusted Star Quilt Retreats, hosted at historic Rockgirt Retreat, has available openings.

This will be a great opportunity to work on your UFO's, start a new project, or simply take time for yourself to slow down and let someone else worry about meals and chores.

4 days / 3 nights for $ 365/per person.

Items provided for each quilter:
* own 5' sewing able
* own 30", adjustable height project table
* own mini Oslio iron and table-top ironing board
* comfortable, padded task chair with wheels
* LED desk lamp
* extension cord

Breakfast and Lunch included in registration, with dinner meal option available at nominal cost.

Join Rusted Star Quilt Retreats at Rockgirt Historic Retreat - a 1884 structure that combines comfort with peace. Sleeping in the beds brings back memories of your Grandma’s house.

Each guest is provided their own table, padded chair, LED desk lamp, ironing board, iron and extension cord. There are also cutting areas and a design wall. No more need for hauling all of your sewing needs - they are already provided and waiting for you.

Along with these amenities, the host is available to help unload/load your bags and machines, provides all breakfasts and lunches, and has an option for dinner meals.
