💙 Blue was definitely the color of the day! 💙

We had a wonderful time welcoming our VP of Sales & Commercial Strategy to Hotel Tupelo and spending time with one of our valued business partners.

As a fun side note, our team had planned to wear blue for the visit, and when we arrived, our valued partner was also wearing blue completely unplanned! Maybe it’s a sign that we’re all on the same team literally and figuratively! 💙

At the heart of hospitality are the connections we build with our guests, partners, and communities. Relationships like these remind us that hospitality is about more than rooms and reservations, it’s about people, trust, collaboration, and lasting connections. We are grateful for the continued partnership and support they provide to Hotel Tupelo and our team.

This was a very heartfelt moment for the Hotel Tupelo team. 💙💛🥇

A sincere thank you to Lawhon Elementary School, Principal Wesley McCullough, Tamikia White, School Counselor, Leah Carpenter, School Test Coordinator, and the incredible teachers, staff, and school leadership for allowing Hotel Tupelo the opportunity to support by proctoring the state writing test on Wednesday, May 13th.

It truly felt like we were all back in school again and what a meaningful experience it was! As hospitality leaders, serving our community goes far beyond our hotel walls, and being able to support education right here in Tupelo was an honor.

This week, we’re honored to highlight Tajuana Young, who serves in a dynamic dual role as our Front Desk Supervisor and Social Media Manager at Hotel Tupelo! 🤗

Tajuana has been in the hospitality industry since 2018, bringing experience and the heart to serve others in everything she does. She joined our team in April 2024 as a part-time night auditor, faithfully working every Friday and Saturday night. Her dedication quickly stood out—earning her Employee of the Month in October 2024, a promotion to Full-Time Auditor in December 2024, and ultimately Employee of the Year for 2024. 🏆 In July 2025, she was promoted once more to Front Desk Supervisor, a true testament to her consistency, leadership, and commitment to “BEING the change!”

Tajuana’s warmth and genuine personality shine through in every guest interaction. Whether connecting over the phone while making reservations or leisurely engaging with guests in our lobby, she creates a welcoming experience that guests remember long after their stay. Her passion for delivering the kind of service she would want to receive is what drives her consistency and care. We’ve received countless reviews and surveys highlighting her attention and INTENTION with our guests!

Not only does she lead by example, but she also trains our front desk team to create personable and meaningful guest experiences—ones that leave lasting impressions and keep guests coming back, or at least willing to recommend us to their loved ones and friends.

Recently stepping into her role as Social Media Manager earlier this year, Tajuana has thoroughly enjoyed blending her passion for customer service with creativity and marketing.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three children (one son and two daughters), cooking, reading, journaling, listening to music, and relaxing at the beach.
