Carlson's Lodge Family run and operated, Carlson's lodge is located on 50 wooded acres in the beautiful White Mountains of NH

Carlson's Lodge was built in 1973 by the late Carl & Ruth Carlson. Moving from RI he dreamed of running an inn to share his love of the area with guests. The lodge is currently run by his daughter Carol and her children Cait and Will. Located back from the road and on 50 wooded acres Carlson's is a quiet retreat to the mountains. Located centrally to many attractions and right on the edge of the White Mountain's National Forest there are many adventures to be had!

Foliage update 10/12/26. We are sure you're hearing things are past peak now and we can't argue that but this is what past peak still looks like! This year has been a much slower progression with leaves hanging on longer despite some windy days.

Purple thistle. We tried planting a new perennial this year and this is the only one that has bloomed. Even with such delicate flowers, it has survived several frosts. By next summer, all of the plants should be spectacular as they have all rooted well this year. A last little snack for pollinators before they sleep for winter.

Happy October! What a day! Things are definitely pretty close to peak in spots and overall I'd say we are at about 85-90%. Things should be ideal this weekend and the majority of next week. This weekend is nearly full but we do have availability all mid-week leading up to the holiday weekend. Give us a call!

A quick picture of the nearly total lunar eclipse before clouds rolled back in. Pictures never do it justice and some of the haze is from the clouds and some from the limits of cellphone technology.
