Even as careful as they are, pine breaks easily and a limb came down and fell on the wings of the totem so it is cracked...

Even as careful as they are, pine breaks easily and a limb came down and fell on the wings of the totem so it is cracked and messed up so the tree cutters are taking it down and will take it to someone who works in wood and have them redo our wings for us and will put back on when job is done. We were like okay, thank you. We know you will take care of things. Another time an unforeseen limb came down while they were working and cracked a block on a line of block wall we had. They showed us what happened and they replace and fixed the block back into the proper space.

My sister Alice's 100 year old room mate in the nursing home sees Alice draw her beach scenes and her flower scenes so she asked Alice to draw a portrait of her sometime. Alice said okay but I really can't draw people. Irma asked Alice to try because she wanted a portrait of herself to have in her room. Alice was telling me about it and I suggested that I could do a portrait of Irma, frame it and wrap it and then Alice can give it to her as a gift. To say Alice was relieved at my suggestion was an understatement. I visited Alice today and Alice gave the portrait to Irma. Irma was caught off guard in surprise. When I walked into the room I realized Irma was wearing the same blouse I had just gotten finished drawing. When Irma passes, her family who visits Irma often will cherish the portrait. They have not seen the work yet.

Listen! I will give you something pretty to look at while you listen but do take a moment and listen! You are hearing Brood XIV Cicadas, a 17 year periodical brood loud mating songs. Today's noise is overwhelmingly loud and is constant from 8:00 AM to around 5:00 PM.

Four separate families are in my park tonight who have just driven in from other states to help our county and the areas of NC. This area is being watched by others. They are watching how we all react. I feel a great revival will come from all this. Churches are coming together and coordinating efforts. One volunteer staying in our campground when with a group to deliver and walk in goods to people in areas who can't get out.
