New Child Safety Initiative at The Colony!

At The Colony, the safety of our guests and their families is always a top priority. That's why we are excited to announce our partnership with a child identification and safety awareness program designed to help families be prepared in the event of an emergency.

These programs provide parents with a simple way to get a lost child back to the resort should a child ever become separated from their family. Having this wristband easily lets law enforcement know how to locate the parents when every minute matters.

While we hope these resources are never needed, we believe that being prepared is one of the best ways to protect the children who visit our resort each year.

We are proud to bring this valuable safety resource to our owners and guests wristbands will be at the front desk in a couple weeks.

Sugar Scrub Day at The Colony!

What a beautiful day by the pool for our DIY Sugar Scrub activity! Guests of all ages joined us to create their own beach-inspired sugar scrubs while enjoying sunshine, smiles, and oceanfront fun.

There's something special about bringing people together to relax, create, and make vacation memories. Thank you to everyone who joined us today—we loved seeing your creativity shine!

🌴 DIY Beach Sugar Scrub Recipe

Ingredients:
• 1 cup sugar
• ½ cup coconut oil
• A few drops of beach-inspired essential oils
• Food coloring (optional)

Directions:

Mix sugar and coconut oil until combined.
Add a few drops of your favorite beach-scented essential oil.
Add a drop or two of food coloring for a fun beachy color.
Stir well and store in a small container.
Use as a gentle exfoliating scrub for soft, smooth skin!

The Season Has Officially Started at The Colony!

Today we kicked off our first Manager's Ice Cream Social of 2026, and what a great turnout it was! It was wonderful seeing owners and guests gather together, enjoy a sweet treat, share vacation stories, and make new memories by the ocean.

One of the best parts of The Colony is the sense of community that makes everyone feel like family. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and joined us this afternoon!

This Memorial Day, all of us at The Colony pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

Living in a community surrounded by so many active duty military members, veterans, and military families reminds us daily of the courage, strength, and sacrifice behind our nation’s freedoms. Today, we especially honor those who never made it home.

May we never forget the heroes who served with honor and gave everything for our country.

As we head into beach season, ocean conditions can change quickly. Before heading into the water, take a moment to check the beach warning flags and understand what each color means. Those flags are there to help keep everyone safe.

🚩 Important reminder: Beach warning flags are taken down at night, but that does NOT automatically mean conditions are safe for swimming. If a warning flag was posted during the day, dangerous surf, rip currents, or marine hazards may still be present after hours.

📱 For the latest beach and area updates, we strongly recommend using VB Alerts to stay informed of changing conditions, weather notices, and emergency information.

Banners will remain up until Memorial Day
