As we head into the back-to-school season, we have a great opportunity to give back to our local Virginia Beach community—and we’d love your help!

From now until August 20th, we are hosting a Back 2 School Supply Drive here at Home2 Suites Virginia Beach to support local students and families in need.

We are collecting new school supplies, including:

• Folders
• Notebooks
• Notebook Paper
• Glue Sticks
• Crayons
• Pencils
• Clorox wipes
• Colored pencils

Donations can be dropped off at Home2 or pick up arranged with Kelsey. Every contribution, big or small, will help students start the school year prepared and confident.

Congratulations to three of Harmony Hospitality's finest for being nominated for an "Ordinary Award". Home2 Princess Anne's General Manager Kelsey Souther, Holiday Inn Executive Center's Tomeka Lyles, and Harmony Hospitality's Corporate Director of Operations John Zirkle, are being honored in three categories.

The Virginia's Hospitality and Travel Awards, https://ordinaryawards.com/ will be presented in September. The Ordinary Awards celebrate and honor all of Virginia’s restaurants, lodging establishments and hotels, DMOs, attractions, and more. The Awards, presented by the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association (VRLTA), are open to both members and non-members of the Association.

Kelsey has been nominated in the Lodging Manager of the Year category, Tomeka nominated in the Bartender of the Year category, and John has been nominated in the Hospitality Hero - Individual Award for his role with the Virginia Beach Hotel Association.

The true goal of these Awards is to honor those in our industry, be they individuals or companies, that are truly extraordinary. Congratulations to all honorees, but especially to Kelsey, Tomeka, and John. Good luck!
