Hi! I’m Emily Pereira 👋🏼 founder of Sunrise Mountain Retreats. I’m also a women’s empowerment coach, bestselling author, mother of 2, and soul surfer who has been on the Spiritual Quest for 17 years and counting.

After years of leading retreats that have been written up in Travel and Leisure and Harper’s Baazar, I was frustrated because the venues I found never quite checked all the boxes.

Hellooooo! Welcome to Sunrise Mountain!! Being able to welcome you here on a retreat or have you host you and your retreat here at our magical jungle sanctuary is a dream come true. 

About 8 years ago I had a vision. I wanted to create a sanctuary where people could begin their Spiritual Quests. Where we could deepen our Quests, where and any person in transition could find their True North 🌟 This is a place of healing and joy, where we can connect with the magic within us and the incredible magic of the natural world all around us. 🌿✨

Do you guys want to know the backstory of how it came to be…? 

Well… I actually had NO IDEA how this was going to happen. I was still living in Los Angeles, in the grind, and wearing shoes, ha!

But I held the vision quietly in my heart. And then, just a few weeks before my 38th bday I got a clear hit of intuition: Go to Santa Teresa, go now, go alone.   

I was so freaking nervous, but also excited. I had the very distinct feeling I was being guided …. 💫
