A little update on our boy Macho 🐾❤️
For those who haven’t met him, Macho is our much-loved resort dog at Playa de Pesca Resort in Mal País—and a big part of our family.
Macho recently suffered a fractured pelvis and nerve damage that has left him unable to use his back legs. It’s been heartbreaking to see him this way. His recovery is uncertain, but we’re taking it one day at a time and giving him all the love and care we can.
Here we are doing his pool therapy, with the water supporting his body as we gently help him move. These quiet moments together mean a lot to me. His tail still wags, and we’re holding onto hope. 💙
To all my friends who have checked in, offered help, and shown Macho love: thank you. And an especially big thank-you to the friends caring for him while I’m away on my surf trip to the Mentawais. Leaving him right now is hard, but knowing he’s surrounded by people who care makes all the difference.
Macho and I are lucky to have you. Here’s hoping for more happy days on his paws. 🐕🌴
